Breach - Application Screening Fee

The application screening fee that you properly charged the Plaintiff covered the costs of obtaining information about the Plaintiff and processing their rental/lease application for the property. You properly spent the fee on these costs associated with screening the Plaintiff and processing their application before they rented the property. Therefore, you did not return this fee to the Plaintiff because it was nonrefundable and not part of the security deposit.
